This course on the American Health Care Law incorporates surveys of legal regulations of the quality of, access to, including the financing of health care. Antitrust, medical malpractice, contracts, licensure, patient rights and bio-ethical policies are the subjects that will be addressed.
There are various reasons why people need to take health law. One reason is that there is no field that can match the complexity, magnitude and universality of health care. Another is that it exposes lawyers to potential problems that confront various professions in the field of medicine in the United States. Importance of prudent laws to protect the health and safety of Americans become a central issue when taken in the context of the rights and obligations that humans must have.
